Been a while
Wow, where do I begin? It's been a few months since I've written anything.....mainly because I've been without GOOD internet(been using dial-up and not even my own computer to access the 'web). Lots of changes in my life since my last entry, mostly a step in the right direction for my life.
First this...I moved back in with Mom, Dave and the girls. Yeah, it was a scary transition and I wasn't really sure how it was going to go but so far so good, I just pray it keeps on this way. They've been great in helping me with school(paying for FRCC right now and I'm getting my foot in the door towards my career goal of teaching so that's awesome). The move was hard at first but I've settled in nicely and have made some new friends, though I'd like to make more and go out....since I don't really go out much right now. I did meet a new guy but I'll have a seperate paragraph about that whole situation, lol.
Secondly.....school. It was hard to get back into doing homework and going to classes but I think I've done pretty well for being out for almost 4 years. I'm taking English Composition I, US History, College Algebra and Speech. I have good teachers and am having fun(for the most part). Speech is fun, I have a great teacher and a class that I feel comfortable around, which helps when having to speak in front of them. But yeah, school is alright and I'm glad that I'm finally doing something with my life rather than just working at a dead end job for little pay.
Speaking of little pay....I'm still working at Circuit City, just a new location. I've transfered down to the Westminster store and am still in the camera/camcorder/PDA department. I'm not thrilled with my job right now(shocker, I know!) but it's tolerable. The people are pretty cool, for the most part, but I hate my direct manager. Can win 'em all I guess. This leads me to my "guy situation" at the moment......
His name is Darius. He works at Circuit as well and he's a CSA at the front counter. He is 21 and just recently graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in Political Science. He's about 5'11 with black hair and brown eyes and he's white/middle eastern mixed. I really like him and told a couple of people, to which it got back to him. He ended up asking me out and we had a wonderful time. He picked me up and we went and saw 'Boogymen' and then went to Old Chicago and shared a bowl of ice cream and one of their big cookies. We sat and talked for about an hour and then he took me home. It was really fun but we've not really talked about a second date yet and that was about a week and a half ago so I'm not sure what to think. He told some people that he's nervous to date someone at work cause there's too much drama at the store with other couples and he doesn't want to have to worry about that but I just hope he realizes that I HATE drama and I keep my personal life fairly private. I've called him and texted him(once of each) since our date but gotten nothing back so I don't know what to thing/do so I guess the ball is in his court right now. I just think that he's a wonderful guy and we could be a great couple if he'd give it a chance.....*sigh*
Well, I've written a lot and I'm gunna go do other things...I'll write soon.
